A Random Act of Kindness Opportunity For
You!
I know most people won't care to help, but for those of you who would like to give something back to someone who helps others free of charge, it would be most appreciated. For those of you who think a good service is given here @ The Dream Emporium and would like to help, please click on the Donate PayPal button, which will take you to the secure site for donations via PayPal. This method is free and secure, and many people have a PayPal account already from shopping on ebay or elsewhere on the WWW. Donations are gratefully accepted in any amount, can be securely transferred from your checking account to mine, or via credit card. Here is the link if you would like to donate:
Please Note: To make sure there is no confusion, please understand that donations are not purchases; they do not buy anything from Dream Emporium. PayPal transcations cost money for me to process, so please be sure about your donation since it is non-refundable. Donations are a thoughtful, kind gift. All monetary donations are greatly appreciated!
For those of you who are thinking of donating to The Dream Emporium cause, but would like to know a little more about what is done for people here in order to make up their minds, here is that info:
The number of people helped varies, but a very low number would be in the hundreds. I have over 50 pages of info on this site, designed to give helpful text, links & research to people who have nightmares or sleep disorders. This is in the attempt to help people work on issues brought about by PTSD, or Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, which can cause terrifying nightmares to recur on a nightly basis for decades, if they are left untreated. The traumatic incident varies from person to person, but includes incidents of dysfunctional childhoods, rape, assault or being attacked violently; being a soldier in a war, being a victim of a car wreck; phobias such as claustrophobia or arachnophobia; fear based nightmares such as abandonment or life partner cheating ; the list goes on and on. I attempt to help people who are afraid or dread sleeping due to their nightmares. I also give info hoping to enlighten people to identifying sleep disorders that have previously left them feeling awkward and isolated, such as in Rhythmic Movement Disorders. By identifying this disorder and having data to refer to, they are able to share this news with their family & loved ones and seek medical help. Even today, there are people who erroneously think that their loved one is "possessed" by a demon, when in fact they have a sleep disorder! It is a tremendous relief to these people to find out they are not insane, and that this disorder is shared by many others. Alarmed when I found this out, and not finding much info on the internet yet, I decided to alert visitors to my site so they could in turn help inform others.
In addition to helping others who have nightmares and sleep disorders, I have a wealth of research info linked on my site for the numerous students who visit The Dream Emporium, working on assignments for their Speech, Science, English and Psychology classes. Students range in ages from elementary school to college. and I am thrilled to offer them data to assist them in their assignments.
The Dream Emporium has a monthly contest that offers a chance for visitors to win a free Dream Interpretation. I started this contest because although the goal of my site is to teach other people how to interpret their own dreams, many visitors wanted a dream interpreted by me, but due to time constraints I couldn't possibly interpret all the thousands of requests I receive each year. This way, everyone has a chance. I screen all entries for cases that require emergency care, and take the time to assist them in whatever way I can; often to urge them to seek medical treatment immediately, and give tips on how to find a knowledgeable specialist for their area. If I am able and see that this may help, I will give a dream interpretation free of charge. These dream interpretations take several hours to do properly, so this can be quite time consuming.
Everything is offered free of charge at The Dream Emporium. I do this because I myself have experienced many sleepless nights after suffering from night terrors and nightmares from childhood well into adulthood, and at the time there was very little information available to help me, so I had to come up with ways to help myself. This led me on a journey that included learning how to interpret my own dreams, which with much practice over time, left me with a knack of interpreting dreams for others. I cringe whenever I think of how others must be suffering like I had been, and desire to help them because I remember how frightening it is, and hope to help others overcome nightmares like I was able to do. Now I can be the help for others that I wished I had been able to find when I needed it!
Many people are surprised that I offer all this info & services free. Sometimes I am, too!
I joke that I must be the world's worst saleswoman, LOL. Seriously, though; I enjoy helping
others, and have resisted asking for donations for all these years until now, but the fees
are getting higher & harder for me to make, unfortunately. I know that there are many wonderful
people out there who respect what I do and my efforts to help others, and will feel that this is
a good cause to contribute towards, so they will share in helping others. I offer a
heartfelt, "Thank You!" to these wonderful people.
Other ways you can help:
If you have your own webhost service and wish to donate the bandwidth space for my site,
that would be great! Donated graphics would be wonderful, too. Even sending an email suggestion
for a low-cost but reputable webhost would be appreciated. I welcome other helpful ideas!

What is my experience? I have pertinent info on my history with dreams in my
Personal Info page (link below) and can add that I have previously given
free interpretations to hundreds of people over the years. I
have posted numerous examples of actual dream interpretations I've done
for people on the contest winners pages, for you to judge for yourself.
I also wrote a monthly column entitled SEA OF DREAMS for a
webzine named
G21 World Wide
Webzine in the past, doing dream interpretations for the
readers. I have also had several opportunities to interpret for callers
on radio shows, which was great! The Dream Emporium has been interviewed by several national & international magazines, spotlighted on various computer tv shows that visitors have let me know about, and is listed in the import/UK book "Top 1000 Really Useful Web Sites" by Kevin O'Driscoll. My interps have been
well received, and it's been very rewarding to be able to help so many
people who have suffered from nightmares & sleep disorders, because I remember all too well what that feels like.
